Placekeeper shortlisted for Property Management Company of the Year 2026
We're pleased to share that Placekeeper has made the shortlist for Property Management Company of the Year at the Manchester Property Awards 2026.
It's a nice one to land. The category is competitive, and being named alongside some genuinely strong management companies is a fair signal that the work is landing the way it should.
For us, this isn't about chasing recognition. Day to day, the job is unglamorous: keeping on top of maintenance, communicating clearly with residents, sorting problems before they become bigger problems. None of that tends to make headlines. So when an independent panel, including senior figures from Greater Manchester's ten boroughs and established names in the property industry, puts you on a list like this, it means something. It's a marker that the standards we hold ourselves to are actually showing up in how the business is run and how residents experience it.
The credit belongs to the whole team. Every renewal, every resolved query, every small decision made properly rather than quickly, that's what a shortlisting like this is built on.
Winners are announced at a gala ceremony on 6th November at The Point, Emirates Stadium, Manchester. More information here: Manchester Property Awards 2026
We'll be there on the night, and whatever happens, making the shortlist is something to be proud of in its own right.

Forge New Homes Appoints Placekeeper
We’re pleased to announce that Placekeeper has been appointed as the managing agent for Forge New Homes 98-home development in Pilsley, Chesterfield. This new community brings together high-quality homes in a well-planned setting, and we’re delighted to have supported the project from early in its development.
Our involvement included shaping the estate charge strategy, setting up the management company and working with the developer to ensure a smooth handover into management. By putting clear structures in place from the start, the site is now positioned for cost-effective maintenance, strong resident experience, and long-term reliability.
As managing agent, we’ll oversee the upkeep of shared areas, coordinate maintenance and compliance, helping ensure the development remains a well-maintained and future-proofed place to live. We look forward to working with Forge New Homes and supporting the Pilsley community as it grows.
New Instruction: Westwood Park, Bolton
We're Delighted to Welcome Westwood Park to the Placekeeper Portfolio
We’re pleased to share that Placekeeper Management has been appointed as the managing agent for Westwood Park, a 77-home development in Bolton comprising 42 apartments and 35 houses set around communal landscaped grounds.
The estate, while well-designed and full of potential, is an older site that now requires some maintenance and thoughtful investment to ensure it continues to meet the needs of its residents. We’ll be working closely with residents and directors to bring communal areas back up to a high standard and introduce improvements where needed.
As managing agent, our role includes everything from regular grounds maintenance and building repairs, to arranging insurance, supporting company administration, and ensuring health and safety obligations are met. We’ll also be implementing strategies to help improve site site, buildings and the quality of life across the estate.
This appointment continues Placekeeper’s growth into established developments where ethical, hands-on management can make a real difference. We’re looking forward to getting started and helping make Westwood Park a place residents are proud to call home.

Property Redress Scheme
Placekeeper is proud to be a member of the Property Redress Scheme, one of the two government-approved redress schemes.
If you do have a cause for complaint, then you must give the property manager a chance to deal with the problem before you complain to a redress scheme and should first follow your property manager’s internal complaints procedure.
If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you can refer your complaint to the approved scheme.Ultimately, the requirement for property managers to belong to a redress scheme will promote best practice, drive up standards and potentially see the demise of bad property managers.
